COLEX insulation material is created by processing macromolecue polyethylene through high-temperature and high-pressure treatment and with crosslinking agent and foaming agent. Its closed microbubble structure renders it resilient. It does not absorb water, can resist acid and alkali, and is compressible. Its impact absorbing and thus can protect objects and personnel. The chemical structure of COLEX insulation material can remain unchanged in ultra-low temperature (-196°C) even for a long period of time. Thus it is applicable in environment with temperatures ranging from 80°C to -196°C. COLEX insulation material does not contain ozone-depleting substances such as CFCs and HCFCs. The material retains its buoyancy even after it is punctured, making it the ideal material for fenders and buoys.
